Bahraini Case Dropped, but Clashes Ensue

Three days ago, King Hamad b. Isa of Bahrain ordered an end to the legal case against the three pro-democracy activists arrested after last Ashura, Hassan Mushaim’i, Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja and Shaker Abdulhussain. This move, however, was almost certainly due to fears of violence on the streets on their behalf, and a crackdown on what they represent continues.
