As the commentariat discusses Kerry's failure to bridge the cultural divide, I'd feel more comfortably if there were a sudden rush of articles questioning whether we want to choose the most power person in the world based off beverage preferences. Did we spend the 1990's concluding that politicians' sex lives were irrelevant only to delve into a set of issues that can't even be called "character?"
